Setting up Outlook 2013

This guide will show step-by-step instructions for setting up email on Outlook 2013 for Windows. While it can be used for other versions of Outlook, some screens and steps might vary.

Adding a new account:

 

1. Select the ‘File’ menu.

2. Select Info.

3. Click the “Add Account” button.

4. Choose “Manual setup or additional server types” .

5. Click Next.

6. Choose “POP or IMAP” .

Click Next.


Account Settings:

1. Your Name: Enter your first and last name.
2. E-mail Address: Enter your full e-mail address
3. Account Type: Select “POP3” or “IMAP” (If you setup your email on multiple devices, we recommend you use IMAP.)
4. Incoming mail server: Enter mail.click4corp.com
5. Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter mail.click4corp.com for your outgoing mail server.
6. User Name: Enter your e-mail address, again.
7. Password: Enter the password set up for your e-mail account.

1. Click the More Settings button.

2. Click on the Outgoing Server tab, and check the box labeled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Then choose to Use same settings as my incoming mail server

3. Click the “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” checkbox.

4. Make sure that it is using the same settings as your incoming mail server.

5.Click on the advanced tab.

If you are using POP3, use the following ports:
Incoming mail (POP3): 110
Outgoing mail (SMTP): 587

If you are using IMAP, use the following ports:
Incoming mail (IMAP): 143
Outgoing mail (SMTP): 587

Please Note: if you are having trouble with the Outgoing Mail, try changing the Outgoing mail (SMTP) to 25 or 486

6. Click the OK button.

Completing the Setup

Click Next. Click Finish.

You should now be able to send and receive email.
